| Happy December to all. We hope you had a great Thanksgiving and are looking forward to the upcoming holidays. YCRS is over our Turkey hangover and busy as ever out here in sunny Arizona. We just wanted to drop in, drop off some Holiday Cheer…and update everyone on what we have going on.
ChampDay in Da House!
The details are almost finished for the announcement of our single day $495 programs. We already have four ChampDays on the calendar for New Jersey Motorsports Park and are working on some west coast tracks to try to make it fair for everyone. Think YCRS-Light. No video review and no van lapping but still……..Champions Habits without all the Champions drills. Think about learning how to use your brakes to get your bike facing the proper direction and learning when to get back on the throttle. Stay tuned for a formal announcement including how to get a full refund of this program if you stay for a full two-day ChampSchool.
What Else?
Well, our December school sold out with our sale special of $1995 but we had two cancellations this week so now have two seats left. Sign up at www.ridelikeachampion.com.
YCSD – Yamaha Champions Sportbike Demos
The demo program is in full force and we’ve had a terrific autumn traveling around the west coast showing off Yamaha’s great bikes and letting track day riders ride them for free. We have done demos with TrackDaz and Southbay Motorsports at Chuckwalla as well as TrackDaz at ButtonWillow for their famed TurkeyDaz. We are in a verbal agreement with Yamaha to continue the program for 2016 and even expand it to run on both sides of the country at the same time with the great fellas at N2 Track Days handling the majority of the demos on the east coast. Can’t think of a better east coast partner than N2.
Keith and the demo truck will be out at Chuckwalla for Femmewalla on December 11th for the largest women’s track day in the country which is put on to raise money for The Unforgettables Foundation, a wonderful Children’s Charity. If you’re a female rider near the west coast, you have little reason to not be there.
Fame and Glory in New York City
Chris, Kyle, Nick, and Mark have been trading off traveling the country for the International Motorcycle Shows putting on the popular Champions Habits stage show that gives tips to riders to help them ride safer, or faster, or both. For many years, this show has been helping riders realize there are better ways to enjoy the sport and always something new to learn. Our last one in 2015 is right around the corner December 11-13 so join us in New York for Champions Habits.
Graduate-Ship has its Privileges!
YCRS announced just the other day that our January school will be our second annual Masters Class and open to previous graduates of the Freddie Spencer School, the Chris Peris Riding School, or the Yamaha Champions Riding School. In this school we will stick to our principals but play with some more fun drills that are only usable with students who already speak the YCRS language. Last year we spent a lot of time on the slowest part of the corner and how the idea is to get to that point the fastest and then get away from it the fastest. Think about it….hhhmmm.
What? Private YCRS coaching?
Do you know we have private coaching now as well? There are three options for our private riding instruction:
* If you are a graduate, you can upgrade your two-day ChampSchool and have an instructor brought in for you and one other person. You’re still going through the school but you have a YCRS instructor dedicated to your small group where you get to ride during downtime and rider later or earlier. Think extra seat time with a dedicated instructor. Choose this option when you register for a class.
* Want a three day school? At Inde, you can have it. We now offer a third day with Chris Peris at Inde Motorsports Park. After a two-day ChampSchool, you can stay for the third day and get video reviews and use GPS data technology to really review your riding with the Inde lap record holder.
* Can’t make our schedule but want to ride and learn the YCRS magic? Already been to class and looking to stay with the great program but want to get more personalized attention? We got ya! Sign up for personal coaching with Chris Peris at Inde for any date that can be worked out between yourself, Chris, and the racetrack. email teachme@ridelikeachmapion or call 855-RIDEYCRS to coordinate dates.
These programs aimed at YCRS Graduates are our way of saying “Thanks” for the support and promotion. Great-riding Graduates are YCRS’s best sales tool.
Give the Gift of Better Riding!
Last but not least, let’s talk about the upcoming Holidays. It is a time to reflect on a great season of riding and for giving. Giving?? Yes giving! Give a YCRS gift certificate which can be purchased on the website in multiple denominations. Got a rider in your life saving up for the best motorcycle rider training money can buy? Help him or her out with a gift certificate.
We here at YCRS hope that you have a great holiday season and a happy new year. We sincerely look forward to seeing everyone in 2016.
