The Yamaha Champions Riding School (YCRS) aims to change students’ lives on and off the motorcycle by introducing them to Champions Habits: The techniques, approaches, skills, and the mindsets of the best riders in the world. JOB DESCRIPTION: DIRECTOR/SALES AND MARKETING
This unique position within a growing and progressive organization is either conduit to or responsible for all sales and marketing activity within YCRS.
The candidate will be responsible for generating revenue for the school in a variety of capacities and insure that all marketing/messaging activity has a direct link to customer acquisition, renewal activity, and any other business initiatives the entity decides to undertake.
The candidate will report directly to the COO and CMO of YCRS and work in concert with the ownership team.
REQUIREMENTS / CRITERIA
The candidate will have demonstrated:
A proven track record of business development and marketing success, including direct sales, marketing and sponsorship work, partnership development, etc.
A solid understanding of using technology for such important assets as social media, presentation development, tracking engagement data, administrative tasks and organizational skills
Ability to collaboratively work with a dynamic and active ownership group.
Track record of organizational goal setting and accountability
Experience in the sports and technology community is a benefit as well as having some riding experience.
Strong interpersonal skills, such as having a can-do, problem solving-solving attitude; strong influencing skills; the ability to inspire confidence and create trust; planning individual workload; a sociable personality; being able to work under pressure; and overall problem-solving skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
The candidate will be responsible for:
Driving revenue and growth across all of YCRS assets including all levels of schools, demo days, licensing and merchandise sales, online coaching tools, etc. Client acquisition targets include but are not limited to; direct sales to new and returning students, new and existing sponsors, and all other relevant parties who may want to engage YCRS in partnerships or engagement (dealerships, military, affiliates, etc.)
Working with the CMO to ensure that all marketing/sponsorship activity has a direct link to growth and profitability, including; social media, events, promotions, trade shows, etc.
Proven track record of the capacity and capability to grow businesses and create value. Past experience and validating references on that track record is preferred.
Strong organizational/administrative skills including proficiency with a computer
Has worked in a sales/biz dev role for 5+ years
Demonstrated educational qualifications may be helpful but not critical
Ability to find clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and hitting pre-determined goals
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively across a dynamic, innovative and fast-growing organization, successful team building. and an ability and desire to mentor and develop talent
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, work ethic and commitment
Salary plus commission, negotiable
