The Mid-West is the Best
Autobahn Country Club
The Mid-West gets no respect. There are a ton of East Coast events. The West Coast gets all kinds of motorcycle events, but the Mid-West gets neglected. In the past, all of our friends in the Mid-West had to travel to come ride with us, but not anymore. We have found a fantastic Mid-West home at Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL just outside of Chicago. The facility is amazing and the track is perfect teaching.
Tuesday August 18th & Wednesday August 19th will feature our game changing 2-Day ChampSchool.
This is for any rider, any bike, and any road. You are more than welcome to bring your bike. Any brand or type of bike is welcome. If you are flying in or simply want to ride something different, we will have a complete selection of Yamaha MT-07’s, MT-03’s, MT-09’s, YZF-R6’s, YZF-R3’s, YZF-R7’s, and YZF-R1’s available for a true “arrive and ride” experience for our 2-Day ChampSchool program.
Don’t have leathers? Traveling light? We have the world’s best safety gear from Dainese and Arai. We will have huge inventory of Dainese leathers, boots, gloves, back protectors, and helmets available. Make sure you sign up early with your sizing.
Tuesday, August 18th will also feature our 1-Day ChampStreet program.
Derived from our 2-Day ChampSchool program, ChampStreet is like “ChampSchool Lite” and is designed for street riders of all levels. The course is taught at highway speeds on your street motorcycle with your street gear, no leathers required.
Wednesday, August 19th will feature our all new 1-Day ChampPrecision course.
Learn the slow-speed mastery of America’s top police motor officers. Taught by retired LVPD Chief Instructor Steve Ritchey and Police Rodeo Champion Rob Grimesly, this one-day course focuses on balance, clutch, throttle, and brake control in a safe paddock environment. Build the precision, confidence, and finesse that make every ride smoother, safer, and more controlled.
All of our in-person schools come with complimentary access to our Online Champ U: Core Curriculum.
This gives every student the opportunity to study the curriculum before you get to the event. This base layer of information greatly improves the experience and internalization of information.

2-Day ChampSchool
We want to make you safer and more confident, no matter what you ride or your riding goals. Those two guiding principles drive our immersive two-day ChampSchool program. We include van laps, multiple video reviews, demo’s, drills, lecture, 2-up rides, full catering, and a minimum 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio for an intense level of personalized coaching. It’s an all-in experience for riders intent on motorcycling excellence. Bring your desire and expect great results. All bike types are welcome and encouraged.
1-Day ChampStreet
ChampStreet is an 8-hour class held primarily in the paddock area of the facility, with some speed-controlled track time. ChampStreet is derived from our two-day ChampSchool program and is designed for street riders of all levels. This “ChampSchool Lite” is taught at real-world speeds on your street motorcycle with your street gear, no leathers required. All bike types are welcome and encouraged.
1-Day Champ PRECISION
Designed by 30-year Las Vegas PD veteran and Chief Instructor Steve Ritchey and World Champion Police Rodeo competitor Rob Grimesly, ChampPrecision is based on the same data-proven best practices as ChampSchool but with a deep dive into the balance, clutch, throttle, and brake control that define elite police motor officers. This one-day program transforms your understanding of low-speed riding. Working in a controlled paddock environment, riders learn the same techniques used by police motor officers to navigate obstacle courses, parade routes, and emergency maneuvers with total confidence. The focus is on precision, smoothness, and control—developing the feel and finesse that make every rider safer and more capable at any speed.

Motorcycle and Gear Rentals
YZF-R3
Unlock the thrill of speed on the R3, a perfect choice for beginners and those who want to fine-tune their skills. With a friendly engine and comfortable ergonomics, it's ideal for very new and short riders, as well as those who appreciate smaller displacement bikes.
YZF-R7
Meet the YZF-R7, the sporty younger sibling of the R6. It's just as content cruising as it is pushing boundaries. Enjoy a comfortable seating position, ample torque, and a user-friendly powerband for fun, whether you're an experienced rider or new to the track's thrill.
YZF-R6
Introducing the R6 – the choice of experienced riders and track enthusiasts. It's the razor-sharp track weapon you crave, but it demands a skilled hand to harness its top-end power. With an aggressive stance and responsive suspension, it means business and only one thing: speed.
MT-03
For newer riders or those who want a different approach, the MT03 is probably the friendliest bike we’ve ever ridden. Plush and forgiving suspension, just enough torque to chuckle at, and a comfortable seating position means all-day fun on a single tank of gas.
MT-07
Meet the MT-07 – perfect for those who crave fun without the sportbike posture. If you're new to riding or new to the track, and prefer an upright seating position, this bike offers friendly ergonomics, a spirited yet manageable engine, and a guaranteed good time.
MT-09
Introducing the MT-09, a true hooligan's delight. With an abundance of torque, this lightweight, agile, and wheelie-friendly bike is built for riders who seek power and can handle their own maniacal giggle reactions. It's a perfect match for experienced riders who appreciate both power and the comfortable upright seating position offered by the MT lineup.
Tracer GT
Where the MT09 is a hooligan, the Tracer GT is it's adventurous brother. Boasting the same spunky engine, the Tracer GT puts the power to use in a different way: supremely comfortable but sporty touring. Perfect for taller riders or those who prefer ADV bikes, this is at home on both long stretches of highway and deep in the canyons of your favorite ride.
2-Day ChampSchool Rentals
Ready to roll? Just show up and ride! You can bring your gear or rent ours. We’ve got a fantastic selection of top-grade bikes and gear. Rentals are available for two-day students. Prices below are for two days.
WHICH BIKE SHOULD I RENT?
- R3 – Very new rider. Very short rider (lowest seat height). A rider who rides a 300/400 at home and likes the smaller displacement bikes.
- R7 – Rider who is used to or wants the sportbike body position but does not have much or any experience on the track. You still get the sportbike feel which works well on the track but the power, although less overall, is much more usable and easier for those who have never been on the track.
- R6 – Best for experienced riders and riders with track experience. Best for those who want a razor-sharp weapon and can get the power out of the R6 because it is all up on top of the rev range.
- R9 – The newest R-Series motorcycle using the incredible CP3 triple in a purpose-built supersport chassis and world-class electronics. Less razor-sharp focused than the R6, but much more capable than the R7.
R1 – The flag ship of the Yamaha R-Series. The R1 is a rocket ship and only available for Grads. - MT-07 – Newer riders or new to the track and prefer the upright seating position
- MT-09 – More experienced riders who are used to more power and like the upright position of the MT lineup
- TracerGT – Best for really tall riders or riders who typically ride ADV bikes

About the Track
Located in Joliet, Illinois, the Autobahn Country Club is a driver’s paradise only 45 minutes from downtown Chicago. The track also has country club amenities including a great cafe, clubhouse, and many spectator viewing areas to catch the action.
The South Circuit of Autobahn Country Club is a 2.09-mile, 15-turn road course designed for racing clockwise, with nine right-handers and six left-hander turns.

What Can I Do to Get Ready for School?
This is a common question and you might be asking it yourself. Our answer is: stretch, get hydrated, well rested, and study Champ U: The Core Curriculum – the online course we send to every student enrolled in our in-person programs. The in-person programs put a great deal of information in front of the students, and Champ U introduces the vocabulary and concepts in a way that makes the in-person school less initially overwhelming for students.
